Multiple Freelance VFX and Animation Positions | Portland, OR | Apr 2003 – Present
Visual Effects Producer on the film Neil Stryker and the Tyrant of Time, an award-winning independent science fiction feature film available now through iTunes, Google Play, and many other streaming and download services. Specifically, I modeled flying vehicles in Maya, rendered them with Pixar’s RenderMan, and composited them into environments with Adobe After Effects.
Created a motion comic experience for the independent graphic novel, No’madd. It has yet to be released publicly. I brought the pages to life using animation and motion graphics techniques using Photoshop, After Effects, Premiere and Audition.
Directing an ongoing short CG/live action project between gigs called Huckleberry Crossing. It is a retro futuristic reimagining of The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn. I am building all CG character rigs from 3D scan data of clay sculptures and all the environments are photographed hand built miniatures.
Created a virtual tour video for H.W. Metals in Tualatin. In order for their website to have a concise explanation of the capabilities of the company I 3D modeled all of the equipment in their facility so the viewer could see each machine and what it did.
Co-Directed a feature film, Evil Cult.

Rapid Prototype Quality Assurance | Hillsboro, OR | Jul 2012 – Feb 2016
For four years, I maintained a high level of detail and consistency while processing thousands of 3D printed faces for stop-motion puppets on The Boxtrolls and Kubo and the Two Strings.
Pulled powder based parts and resin based parts off printers on a daily basis.
Each face needed a unique approach for reinforcing, scraping, sanding, dipping in glue, magnetizing, glossing, and dulling before it was ready to deliver to the face library.
Met multiple deadlines per day, making shot deliveries that were essential to keeping the production on schedule.
Communicated with my team, the model shop, the RP production team, the face librarians, and supervisors to assure satisfaction on all sides and a quick turnaround.
Lakewood Theatre Company
Stage Manager | Lake Oswego, OR | Sep 2008 – Oct 2009
For four different stage productions, I managed actors, technicians, and props from the first rehearsal to the last performance.
Liaised with the director, the producers, costume designers, set designers, and set builders.
Communicated with front-of-house staff before a show and the light and sound booth, and orchestra pit during performance.
On The Producers I moved massive sets in and out between every scene.
Our production of Into the Woods won Outstanding Production at the Drammy Awards, the Portland theatre awards.
On The Producers I coordinated a lightning quick mic change right before “Springtime for Hitler” because the singer’s mic failed and needed to be swapped out.
On Oliver! I coordinated a cast containing many children.
On Oliver! I constantly rechoreographed dance numbers because the production coincided with the “Swine Flu” epidemic that often rendered members of my cast too ill to perform on any given night.
